Gold Coast Massage
If you’re seeking relief from muscle stiffness, restricted movement or other types of body pain, a deep tissue massage session may be just the thing to ease the aches and tightness.
What Deep Tissue Massage Does
This is a very slow massage targeting the under lying muscles and connective tissues, helping to remove adhesions (trigger points) that can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation. Please note that a deep tissue massage usually leaves some stiffness or pain afterwards (as a result of the amount of massage performed), but it should subside within a day or so.
Deep Tissue Massage Technique
Deep tissue massage is a very slow massage targeting the underlying muscles and connective tissues, helping to remove adhesions (knotted muscle trigger points) that can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and inflammation.
With deep tissue massage, we start at a gentle pressure and slowly increase the depth, like going through the layers of an onion. By doing this, it moves the blood, lymph and fluid out of the muscles, helping flush the tissues out. Deep tissue massage helps loosen muscle fibers and tissue, releasing toxins from the muscles and getting the blood and oxygen circulating properly. There is usually some stiffness or pain after a deep tissue massage, but it should subside within a day or so.
Because deep tissue massage is so slow, it will require a 90 minute massage session if you are after a whole body massage. If you only require certain parts of the body to be deep tissue massaged (and the rest of the body a lighter pressure), then we can certainly cater to your needs and desires in a single hour.
